1、Long Wei coaches serving the NPC & CPPCC

Having served the NPC & CPPCC for seven times in the past seven years, Kinglong continued, on May 3-18, to provide another 14 Long Wei XMQ6129Y coaches for participating delegations from Fujian, Shandong, Jiangxi, etc., offering them fully-integrated transport services.

2、Discovery Journey & Love Relay

The Kinglong 2nd term “Discovery Journey” started up in Beijing on 23 April, 2008, and came to a satisfactory close on July 18 at the destination city—Shanghai, touring through Urumchi, Kunming, Wuhan and some other cities. On May 17, as part of the 2nd term “Discovery Journey” in Sinkiang, the “Campaign against Earthquake, Love Relay” was launched, by a series of disaster relief events organized in various provinces and cities such as Sinkiang, Kunming, Wuhan, Shanghai, Xiamen, etc.

3、Long Wei coaches escorting the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay

Ten special-designed Long Wei Coaches were employed in the escort of the Olympic Torch Relay in Fujian on May 9-13, and later in many other provinces including Jiangsu, Hunan, Heilongjiang, etc.

4、Kinglong approved to Set Up Post-doctor Scientific Research Work Station

Ministry of Human Resource and Social Security of People’s Republic of China released NO.43 paper of 2008 on 19 June which said that Kinglong was approved to set up post-doctor scientific research work station according to “the 15th ” plan of post-doctor’s work. And the Kinglong post-doctor scientific research work station was inaugurated on the morning of 30 December.

5、2000 Kinglong coaches giving the success of  the Olympic services with zero defect

During the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games period, over 6,000 Kinglong coaches were operating all across Beijing, among which more than 2,000 provided directly services for the two Games. Kinglong got outstanding achievements by creating all these 2,000 coaches worked in all 60 days with zero defect.

 
6、208 Kinglong Vehicles running on the Xiamen BRT Bus Line

Three lines of the first phase of Xiamen BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) system were put into operation on August 31, 208 tailored-made Kinglong vehicles were put into use.

7、 Kinglong Light Bus approved domestic sales

In mid-September, Kinglong light bus entered into the National Development and Reform Commission Vehicle List, thus Kinglong have right to sale light bus on its domestic sales. Meanwhile, the first Series of Kinglong Light Bus, A+ Hiase, were successfully released.

 
8、Kinglong Joined in 62nd IAA Commercial Vehicles

Kinglong, the only representative from China's automotive industry, participated in 62nd IAA Commercial Vehicles on September 25, 2008 in Germany. The show-coach XMQ6127 finished the entire length of the ancient Silk Road, lasting 12,500km in total, and finally arrived in Hannover in only 15 days, via Xiamen, Sinkiang and Eurasia.

 
9、“20 years of innovation and striving” Anniversary Celebration

On December 18, Kinglong the 20th anniversary celebration started in happy and peaceful music. 800 guests from home and abroad joined together in the grand ceremony held in Xiamen Island.

10、Oversea sales rising above 25% in the International Year

According to statistics as of December 31, Kinglong has effected an export sales of over 3,000 coaches, with an income of RMB1.4 billion, 85% more than the previous year. The export has taken a proportion of more than 25% in the whole revenue for the first time. By the end of December, 2008, Kinglong has sold its products to 55 countries and regions worldwide.
