Overseas development history

2001

Large-sized coaches were exported in batches to Iraq.
The 20,000th King Long bus was off the production line, and the annual sales amount was over RMB 3 billion.

2003

City buses were exported to Malta in batches, be the first in China to enter into the West European market.
The 50,000th King Long bus was off the production line.

2005

Having passed UK VCA certification, King Long's products were permitted to enter the EU market. Exported 600 large- and medium-sized buses and coaches to Middle East in a single shipment.
First time attended Bus World Kortrijk.

2007

Launched the coach XMQ6129Y, which was awarded BAAV Coach of the Year in 2007.

2008

King Long's export sales volume exceeded 3,000 units, achieving a sales turnover of US $200 million.

2009

Attended Bus World Kortrijk for the third time, and won the prize of "BAAV Award of Bus Builder of the Year 2010".

2010

Large and medium-sized buses and coaches were exported to 12 EU countries. 

2011

176 King Long buses were exported to Malta.

2012

329 King Long coaches were exported to South America.

2014

King Long attended the Hanover Vehicle Exhibition for the fourth time. This marked 12 years of the company's exploration in European markets.

2015

1,140 King Long school buses were exported to Saudi Arabia.
643 luxury tourist coaches were exported to Thailand. King Long became the representative in Thailand tourist bus market.

2016

King Long has cumulatively exported 23,000 minivans to Egypt. Its exclusive distributor in the region has consistently ranked No.1 in minivan sales within the Egyptian market.

2018

The 100th Apolong rolled off the production line and was sent to Beijing, Xiong'an, Pingtan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Country Garden and Tokyo for commercial operation.

2019

170 CNG Buses were officially delivered to Mexico, marching into Mexican market for the first time. This was the largest export order of Chinese buses to Mexico.

2020

1314 King Long buses were exported to Saudi Arabia.

2021

The first King Long bus assembled officially came off the production in Sousse,Tunisia.

2022

305 buses and coaches were exported to Kuwait.

2023

200 units 18m CNG city buses were exported to Uzbekistan.

2024

150 school buses were exported to Dominican Republic, marking the China’s largest order and the first batch of EV buses for its school bus system.
