King Long Bus Signs the Order Worthy 16.8 million Euro for Aid Project for Senegal again

On 15 December, King Long Bus signed the new order with Senegal SENBUS company of 673 city buses after the formal delivery of 406 buses on 5 October 2010. All 673 units are exported to Senegal through CKD£¨completely knocked down£©, XMQ6798G, worthy 16.8 million Euro.

King Long Bus Aid Project for Senegal is one of the projects that China government assists Senegal with preferential loan and signed the agreement in Senegal in February 2009, including 4 complete vehicles and 402 CKD parts worthy 160 million Yuan in Phase one. To successfully complete this project, King Long Bus made great effort and achievements in product development, CKD exporting, staff training, facility improvements and resident production guidance. On 5 October 2010, it delivered all 406 city buses in operation.

The project offers 2000 direct employments and 8000 indirect ones for Senegal and opens new way for the cooperation between China and Senegal. The President Abdoulaye Wade of Senegal praised the active impact of this project on promoting auto industrialization and improving of transport environment of many times on public occasion.

Since the beginning of 2010, both parties started the discussion about Phase Two due to the good cooperation in Phase One. On 11 December 2010, Ms. NGOM ,the new minister of Transport visited King Long Bus and showed that she was deeply impressed of King Long and appreciated its great contributions in Phase One.

Mr. Xie Weiguo in charge of the negotiation of this project revealed that the new order of 673 King Long city buses showed the trust and the support from Senegal on King Long Bus. It is predicted that the auto industrialization in Senegal will be promoted and more product value added enjoyed because of this project. It is believed that it will make active influence on constantly improving of public transport as well as local citizens¡¯ life qualify in Senegal when more than 1000 King Long city buss all be used.
