Anti-Pandemic Special Vehicles Under Mass Production

Recently, Xiamen King Long Special Vehicle Division fulfilled a wonderful achievement featuring with large quantity, high quality, and tangible benefits. After several months’ efforts, King Long special vehicle division successfully secured a substantial order with 17 units nucleic acid testing vehicles and 88 units negative pressure ambulance vehicles for Hebei Province, which will for sure ensure a strong guarantee for the all-round deployment of epidemic prevention and control in Hebei Province.

In March 2021, Hebei Provincial Government decided to purchase nucleic acid testing vehicles and negative pressure ambulance vehicles for the increase of their emergency equipment. Upon this information, special vehicle division immediately form the Hebei Special Vehicle Project, composed of sales center, project center, product center. From the very beginning, they had to face multiple challenges, such as limited and tight time, few available manpower, heavy task, high pressure of on-spot visit, too many tender documents preparation. Despite these difficulties, project members took up the challenges and carried the spirit of negative pressure vehicle to forge ahead. With members stationed locally in Hebei and salesman in frontline for investigation for up to almost 2 months, all the project members united together and mobilized all resources to the tenders with their respective role: product center for technical support at any time, project center for internal and external communication as well as commercial issues, sales center staff all mobilized to get involved with constant stay up to late at night… Finally, all the efforts were paid off with a series of tenders secured: nucleic acid testing vehicles for 4 municipalities and negative pressure ambulance vehicles for 6 counties.

Those delivered vehicles are specially developed by King Long based on 12-meter coaches, very suitable for mobile nucleic acid testing. It is a product in response to the call of the nation “Where there is an epidemic, there is an order. To prevent and control epidemic is to take responsibility.” With integrated advantages of traditional testing lab and coach, it meets P2 lab standard and boasts notable characteristics of mobility and flexibility, wide activity cover range and many applicable scenarios. According to specific testing request and vehicle interior equipment and devices, presently it can realize daily nucleic acid testing 3500-4500 per single test.

Also this time King Long delivered 88 negative pressure ambulances, which are professionally modified based on ambulances by introducing medical facilities such as cabin associated facilities, stretcher system to enable safe isolation and transfer of patients.

For this batch of nucleic acid testing vehicles and negative pressure ambulance vans, QC engineers of special vehicle division combined with technical engineers and process engineers to identify variations in advance concerning those vehicle risk points and improvement aspects. Meanwhile, they made a key control list to preemptively control every point and handle the problems in every inspection node, such as material inspection, process inspection, vehicle inspection. Finally, the QC engineers of the special vehicle division combined with others related departments to review and audit the finished vehicles to ensure that the final vehicles met the standards.

Currently, negative ambulances have been finished and successive delivery are ongoing while the nucleic acid testing vehicles are still under production. With the joint efforts of the employees of the delivery center and the special vehicle production center and perfect coordination among all departments, we will carry forward the spirit of negative pressure ambulance to timely fulfill the delivery task with good quality products.
